Hi, I am Roberto Rodriguez. I was born and raised in Cuba but defected to the U.S. with my wife and two minor children back in 1977, when I was Cuban Ambassador in Cairo, Egypt. Since then, I have resided continuously in the United States. Initially, I was involved mostly in business, but lately I have been more involved in international relations, diplomacy and foreign affairs. I am a Professor at Euclid University (http://www.euclid.int/), an intergovernmental university targeting mostly college and graduate students from the developing world.

I like to travel. I have visited 79 countries and counting. I enjoy swimming, walking, and cycling. And of course, I love reading.
